Keira Knightley scoffs at Fifty Shades of Grey role

Dec 7 2012, 8:42am CST | by

Keira Knightley has scoffed at the idea of starring in 'Fifty Shades of Grey'.

The 27-year-old actress will ''definitely'' not be starring in the hotly-anticipated adaptation of E.L. James' erotic novel, which details S&M-crazed billionaire Christian Grey's relationship with young student Anastasia Steele.

Asked whether her next film project would be a more risque literary adaptation than she has done in the past, Keira insisted: ''No, it's not. It's not going to be 'Fifty Shades of Grey.' You know, I normally don't like to give a definite about anything, [but] I can definitely say it will not be 'Fifty Shades of Grey'.''

The brunette beauty says her days of stripping off on screen are over after playing sexually confused patient Sabrina Spielrein in David Cronenberg's historial drama about the advent of psychoanalysis, which saw Keira being spanked by therapist Carl Jung (Michael Fassbender).

The 'Jack Ryan' star is adamant she won't be taking on an even raunchier role as naïve Anastasia and admits she is too embarrassed to even pick up 'Fifty Shades'.

She told MTV: ''I can't imagine why [I would want to]! Um, I haven't even read it yet, actually. I mean, just from [what I've heard], friends who've gotten into it, and I've gone, 'No'. I did 'A Dangerous Method'. That had a bit of all that in it. I don't think I need to do it again.''

Keira previously confessed she had to practice her sex faces for two whole days in order to perfect her part in 'A Dangerous Method'.

She joked: ''I worked with that and sat in my bathroom and pulled faces at myself for two days. Then I got on Skype with David and went, 'I've come up with this' or 'I've come up with that' and he went, 'that one!'''

Sep 23 2014 2:17pm CDT | Source: movie pilot

It is 8PM on May 18th, 1999: I'm ten years old and the back of my crappily-made Jedi robe is snapping around behind me in rhythm with my hurried steps as I walk alongside my Dad. We head into The Bakery Center (now known as The Shops at Sunset Place) with our lightsabers clipped to our belts. It's time! I've never been to a midnight premiere of any movie before, and since it is a weekday, the line for Star Wars: Epis ...

THE IMITATION GAME Review | TIFF 2014

Sep 8 2014 7:24pm CDT | Source: Collider

In September 1933, General George S. Patton told the Calvary Journal, “Wars may be fought with weapons, but they are won by men.”  Mathematician Alan Turning proved Patton’s statement was only half true when it came to World War II.  It was won by men and a machine.  Turing and his team used a computer to decipher the Germans’ “Enigma” code, which turned the tide of the war and was one of the key contributions to the Allies’ victory.  Morten Tyldum’s The Imitation Game is a compelling look at a ...
