Christopher Nolan would make 'extraordinary' Bond film

Nov 27 2012, 10:02am CST | by

'Skyfall' special effects supervisor Chris Corbould thinks 007 fan Christopher Nolan should helm the next James Bond film.

Christopher Nolan would make an ''extraordinary'' James Bond film.
'The Dark Knight Rises' and 'Skyfall' special effects supervisor Chris Corbould thinks the 42-year-old director is the perfect pick to spearhead the next 007 movie because he has a deep understanding of the British spy franchise.
The Oscar-winning special effects whiz told DigitalSpy.co.uk: ''Chris [Nolan] is a great fan of Bond films. We spend a lot of time analysing them, him interrogating me on why things were done in certain Bond films. I've done 13 Bonds, so I've got quite a history with them.
''I think he likes the way they're made, some better than others. The end part of the third act in 'Inception' was his little homage to Bond. I would love to see him do one. I think he would make an extraordinary Bond. Having seen 'Skyfall', that's a tough act to follow.''
Although fans and film industry insiders alike have championed self-confessed fan Christopher to helm the 24th Bond film, the director has remained coy about his future plans.
He has said in the past: ''That's very, very flattering. But I haven't figured out what I'm doing next'', adding in a different interview: ''It would have to be the right situation and the right time in their cycle of things.''

Oct 28 2014 7:35pm CDT | Source: Collider

There’s no denying that the most popular genre around these days is that of the superhero movie.  Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy proved that comic book adaptations could be just as dramatic and heavy as non-genre films, Marvel Studios jumpstarted a massive interconnected series of superhero movies that were significantly more colorful and humorous, and audiences have been turning out to both kinds of superhero movies in droves.  With ...

Oct 27 2014 6:00pm CDT | Source: Slash Film

We’re thinking about sci-fi as all the reviews hit for Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar; meanwhile here’s the trailer for an independent film that also deals with mankind looking to the stars when situations go bad on Earth. In The Last Scout the situation on Earth is far more dire, leading a ship that contains essentially the remnants of humanity to explore space in search of a new home. It’s a little bit Battlestar Galactica, and a littl ...
