Zack Snyder has hinted Henry Cavill could join the cast of 'Justice League'.
Having just directed Henry in Superman remake 'Man of Steel', the filmmaker thinks Warner Bros' new superhero team project - set to feature Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman - shouldn't ignore the brand new face of the comic book hero.
Zack told The New York Post: ''I don't know how 'Justice League' is going to be handled. Honestly, I don't. But 'The Man of Steel' exists, and Superman is in it. I don't know how you'd move forward without acknowledging that.''
'Man of Steel' will be the first Warner Bros. film set in a new superhero era for the studio now Christopher Nolan's 'Batman' trilogy has concluded, and the filmmaker remained coy when asked whether the movie would be tying in with a larger action hero universe.
Zack - who is also rumoured to be directing 2015's 'Justice League' - said: ''Um, how can I answer that? I can't really say anything to that, because that's a big spoiler. I will say, yeah, they trust me to keep them on course.''
The director is hoping his new Superman film will top the lukewarm reception of 2006's 'Superman Returns', but is aware the popular story carries ''crazy responsibility''.
He said: ''I heard one time that the Superman glyph is the second or third most recognizable symbol on Earth after the Christian cross. It's this crazy responsibility.''
