Actor Ben Mendelsohn is set to join Christina Hendricks in Ryan Gosling's directorial debut 'How to Catch a Monster'.

Ben Mendelsohn joins How to Catch a Monster

Ben Mendelsohn has joined the cast of 'How to Catch a Monster'.
The 'Dark Knight Rises' actor is set to star alongside 'Mad Men' beauty Christina Hendricks in Ryan Gosling's debut film as a director, Moviehole reports.
Ryan has worked with both actors before, starring in 'Drive' with Christina and 'Place Beyond the Pines' with Ben.
Christina said earlier this year it was ''heartwarming'' to be offered the lead role in his directorial debut.
She enthused: ''His first big film, and he could have gotten anyone!
''It was very heartwarming and the biggest compliment ever.''
The film will follow Christina's character Billy, a single mother who discovers an underwater world along with her two sons.
Both Ryan and Christina are to reunite with 'Drive' producer Marc Platt for the project and Ryan is grateful for the help from everyone involved.
He previously said: ''I am very appreciative to Marc Platt, Adam Siegel and Bold Films for being so supportive and I look forward to making this film with all of them.''
Filming for 'How to Catch a Monster' is due to begin in spring 2013.
