Sam Mendes already has a story for Bond 24.
The 'Skyfall' filmmaker hasn't yet confirmed he will be returning to direct Daniel Craig in the next outing for the iconic spy, but screenwriters Neal Purvis and Robert Wade appeared to reveal he will be in a statement announcing they will be leaving the franchise after a five-film stint.
Robert said: ''We're very happy to have done five Bond movies. I think we've gotten it to a good place. I know that John Logan and Sam Mendes have come up with a plot for another one, which takes the pressure off because these films take up a lot of time.''
The duo worked on 'The World Is Not Enough', 'Die Another Day' and the three films which have starred Daniel, 'Casino Royale', 'Quantum of Solace' and 'Skyfall' and revealed they initially planned to step down after their fourth piece of work for the series.
Neal said: ''We were going to stop with 'Quantum of Solace', but it's good to go out on a high with 'Skyfall'.''
The pair also admitted they had been ''tempted'' to kill off Bond.
Asked what they are not allowed to do as Bond writers, Neal said: ''Time Travel''.
Robert added: ''And killing him off, although we have been tempted''.
