Anne Hathaway joins Robopocalypse

Anne Hathaway has confirmed she will star in Steven Spielberg's 'Robopocalypse' and insists she will never turn down one of his projects.

Anne Hathaway has confirmed she will star in 'Robopocalypse'.
The 'One Day' star says she will appear in the sci-fi thriller after receiving a call from director Steven Spielberg and the brunette beauty insists she will never turn down an offer to be in one of his projects.
She told Empire magazine: ''If 'Robopocalypse' happens I will be in it, and I believe it's quite real, though you never want to hang your hat on anything.
''Whenever I'm taking time off, I always joke to my team that I'm on vacation unless Steven Spielberg calls. And I was on vacation and Spielberg called. So I was like, 'OK, put my money where my mouth is'.''
Drew Goddard wrote the script based on Daniel H. Wilson's sci-fi novel, which had Spielberg so excited he agreed to direct before the book was even published this June.
The film will begin seeing humanity waking up to a robot revolution ran by a malevolent artificial intelligence known as 'Archos'.
Anne will play the lead female role alongside 'Skyfall' actor Ben Whishaw and 'Avengers Assemble' star Chris Hemsworth, who was sought after by Spielberg after making a good impression when they met.
'Robopocalypse', co-financed by DreamWorks and Fox, is scheduled to begin filming early 2013 and is slated for release on April 25, 2014.

‘Interstellar’ Opening Three Days Early in IMAX

Sep 30 2014 6:45pm CDT | Source: slash film

The only real way to see a Christopher Nolan movie is in IMAX. The filmmaker specifically makes his films for the large screen format, and with each subsequent movie he innovates in multiple ways. For his latest film, Interstellar, Nolan put IMAX cameras on planes to capture new footage. In the coming weeks, we’ll surely hear more about his IMAX use. Film projection in IMAX is important to him, too, and the flagship location, the TCL Chinese Theater IMAX, is specifically putting in a film ...

What We Learned (and Didn't Learn) from the New 'Interstellar' TV Spots

Sep 29 2014 5:12pm CDT | Source: yahoo

The broad outlines of the plot are clearer: The Earth is experiencing a life-ending ecological disaster and an intrepid group of astronauts (including Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway) are sent on a last-ditch mission to find a new haven for humanity.  We definitely see more of the walking-Tetris-block contraption (above) that accompanies McConaughey as he surveys the alien planet — it seems to be a fusion of the self-stabilizing walking “dog” ...

‘Interstellar’ TV Spots Serve Up More Footage, More Story Details

Sep 29 2014 3:00pm CDT | Source: Slash Film

In addition to being one of the most highly-anticipated movies of late 2014, Interstellar is also one of the most mysterious. The Christopher Nolan-directed sci-fi adventure hasn’t played any festivals or otherwise allowed for any early reviews, and even the marketing campaign has been careful not to give away too much. And naturally, all of that secrecy just makes us more curious about the movie. For now, we’ll take what we can get. Today, that means four new TV spots which reveal a bit more ...

Sep 24 2014 8:30am CDT | Source: Slash Film

There are only about three months left in 2014 at this point, but those three months look to be absolutely jam-packed with exciting new movies. One we’re particularly looking forward to is Christopher Nolan‘s Interstellar, which shoots Matthew McConaughey into outer space in a last, desperate attempt to save humanity. As Nolan himself points out, that makes it “almost a mirror image of Inception. It expands out in the way Inception contracts inwards.” Read more comments from Nol ...
