Ashley Greene is to star in 'Satanic'.
The 'Twilight Saga' actress is reportedly being lined up for a role in the Weinstein Company's much-awaited horror movie - which was previously known as 'Kristy' - alongside Haley Bennett, The Wrap reports.
The film follows a group of college students who are attacked in their dormitory during Thanksgiving break, with the survivors on the hunt for their attackers.
The official synopsis reads: ''With the rest of the campus home for the Thanksgiving holiday, Justine and a few of her friends spend the weekend in their college dormitory: studying, relaxing and blissfully unaware of the terror that is about to unfold outside in the cold.
''Suddenly, confronted by a gang of violent outcasts, Justine's quiet long weekend becomes one long lesson in survival as her and her classmates are terrorised in increasingly bizarre and brutal ways, leaving it up to her to figure out who her attackers are...and if they can be stopped.''
The film is expected to shoot in New Orleans later this month and through much of December.
The Weinstein Company are producing the movie along with David Kirschner, Corey Sienega, Jamie Patricof and Lynette Howell.
'Donkey Punch' helmsman Oliver Blackburn is on board to direct the project, working from a script written by 'Vanishing on Seventh Street' scribe Anthony Jaswinski.

Sep 6 2014 5:47am CDT | Source: Deadline

Joe Dante, or Maestro Dante as he's known on the Lido, didn't physically make it to town for the world premiere of his zombie romcom Burying The Ex. The out of competition pic got a fantastic reception at the screening I attended. In the flesh in Venice to support the film were stars Anton Yelchin, Ashley Greene and Alexandr ...

Since MATINEE, there's been a 5-6 year break in between the release of each of his movies, and the last interval was even longer because of how long it took for THE HOLE to reach theaters after its 2009 festival premiere. But now Joe Dante's premier ...

Sep 3 2014 10:00am CDT | Source: Collider

I'm a huge fan of director Joe Dante.  How could you not be at least a little bit in love with a career that encapsulates films like Gremlins, The Howling and The 'Burbs, not to mention one of the best sequels of all time, Gremlins 2: The New Batch? So I'm definitely looking forward to his new film Burying the Ex, which looks like it finds Dante back in the realm of horror comedy mayhem.  The film premieres tomorrow at the Venice F ...
