Elijah Wood has Cooties

Elijah Wood has agreed to produce - and possibly star in - new school-set horror movie 'Cooties'.

Elijah Wood is set to produce horror movie 'Cooties'.
The 'Lord of the Rings' actor has agreed a deal with distribution team Synchronicity Entertainment to take part in the project, and may also star.
'Saw' writer and executive producer Leigh Whannell has penned the script for the film, with Ace Norton lined up to direct.
'Cooties' tells the tale of a virus that strikes a school and turns them into savages, with an ''unlikely'' hero helping the teachers fight back.
Filming will begin in April 2013.
Meanwhile, John Cusack is also working with Synchronicity on new project 'Due Process', which tells the tale of two bankers who head out to a remote country farm to close it, only to find horror within.
The film will be directed by Paul Currie, and Anthony Derrico has written the script.
John - best known for his work on '2012' and 'Being John Malkovich', is set to star in a number of films, including 'The Butler', where he plays Richard Nixon and 'Grand Piano', which is currently filming.
