Ben Whishaw in Talks to Join Mary Poppins Returns

Ben Wishaw might be seen in Marry Poppins sequel

Marry Poppins sequel is on the roll and we might see Wishaw in it too.

The historical movie Marry Poppins is going to get a sequel. Disney is all set to make the sequel of this movie. For it Emily Blunt and Lin Manuel Miranda have been finalized. It is also said that Ben Wishaw is in talks with the movie officials to play against Blunt and Miranda.

This movie will be directed by Rob Marshall and is supposed to follow the story 25 years after the original movie’s events. The original Marry Poppins was released in 1964. Ben might play the role of a grown up Michael Banks if he gets a role in it.

It was also reported earlier that Meryl Streep is also in talks with the movie officials for a role, according to Variety. The screenplay has been written by David Magee which is based on stories by P.L. Travers. An all new score is created for this movie by Marc Shaiman. Along with that Emmy Nominee and Tony Winner Scott Wittman is writing original songs for the movie too.

Blunt will be playing the role of a street lamp lighter named Jack. She has a lead role in the movie with Manuel Miranda. The story will follow a depression era of London with grown up Jane and Michael Banks.

The movie is produced by Marc Platt, John DeLuca and Marshal. The shooting of movie is all set to start in the initial months of year 2017 in London. The movie will be released on December 25th, 2018.

Wishaw has played role of Q in the latest James Bond movies. He was seen in Skyfall and Spectre both. He also appeared in The Danish Girl. He is represented by CAA, U.K’s Hamilton Hodel and Peikoff Mahan Law.
