Another Hollywood video game adaptation is on the go. The movie industry has adapted many famous video games into movies in the past. The results of these movies were not always astounding as many of them were a failure to begin with. While some others managed to do good business.
This trend started with the 2001 video game adaptation of Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. Angelina Jolie played the role of badass Lady Lara Croft in its truest fashion which made the movie a hit. However its sequel didn’t get much appreciation afterwards.
Assassin’s Creed is the next big adaptation of game that is being made these days. People have high hopes from this famous game turned movie. Let’s see if Justice Kerzel and Michael Fassbender can bring the best to our screens in its movie adaptation too.
However you cannot hold anybody from not making the adaptation despite the previous records. A new adaptation to the game “The Division” is about to begin in a few months. Latest news from THR suggest that Jessica Chastain is in talks for a lead role in the movie. She will be playing opposite Jake Gyllenhaal.
“The Division” is going to be produced by Ubisoft. The story of this movie is set in New York where a virus will create a lot of problem for population. The main lead will find ways to destroy this virus with the help of some kind of explosive.
