Sarah Paulson will be seen acting in J.D. Salinger’s biopic named “Rebel in The Rye”.
Sarah Paulson did extravagant acting in “The People V.O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story”. She portrayed the role of a prosecutor Marcia Clark. Now she is going to join Danny Strong’s J.D. Salinger biopic “Rebel in The Rye”.
She will be playing the role of Dorothy Olding who was the loyal agent of Salinger, reported Deadline. She was the one who believed in Slinger at a very young age when he only did short series. She kept on supporting Salinger throughout his career.
“Rebel in The Rye” will also portray Nicholas Hoult, Kevin Spacey, Hope Davis, Victor Garber and others in many additional roles.
This biopic’s script has been adapted from Kenneth Slawenski’s biography, “J.D. Salinger: A Life”. It is written and will be directed by Strong.
This movie will showcase the life of this famous but private author. It will portray his journey from a rebel youth to the famous the writer he became. The movie will showcase all major events in his life including his WWII experience, the experiences of love, loss, and rejection.
It will also show the time when the writer acquired PTSD and got a writer’s block. This led him to write his master piece “The Cather in the Rye”.
The movie is produced by Black Label Media and the shooting will start this month. Paulson who is represented by UTA has received acclaim on many of her roles.
Her role in American Horror Story was much appreciated. She also got positive reviews for her roles in “Carol” and “12 Years a Slave”. “Rebel in The Rye” will be handled by CAA in North America while its international rights will be handled by BLOOM.
