Harrison Ford Injured on the Set of Star Wars: Episode VII

Jun 13 2014, 8:41am CDT | by

Harrison Ford got injured on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII and was sent to the hospital immediately.

Harrison Ford injured himself yesterday during the shooting of Star Wars: Episode VII. One of the hydraulic doors on the Millennium Falcon fell on the 71-year-old actor.

He was immediately airlifted to the hospital after the unfortunate incident at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire.

A representative of Disney confirmed the news regarding his injury. He also said that the shooting of the new Star Wars sequel will continue.

"He was taken to a local hospital and is receiving care. Shooting will continue as planned while he recuperates," a Disney spokesman said. Currently the film is being shot both in London and Abu Dhabi.

The workplace watchdogs in the UK are looking into the matter. A Health and Safety Executive spokesperson said, "We have been made aware of an incident at Pinewood Studios and are making initial enquiries."

Harrison Ford is playing his same old charismatic role as Han Solo in the Star Wars: Episode VII. Ford's old co-stars Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill are also playing their unforgettable roles of Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker in this sequel of Star Wars.

Other new cast members of the Star Wars: Episode VII include the beautiful Lupita Nyong'o along with Daisy Ridley, Domhnall Gleeson and Adam Driver. Dircetor J.J. Abrams is all set to release Star Wars: Episode VII in theaters in December of 2015.

Sep 26 2014 10:47am CDT | Source: movie fanatic

The third Bill & Ted movie has been discussed for some time, including when Keanu Reeves first admitted that it was coming. It appears to be a serious reality with a script completed and ready to shoot. Alex Winter, the other half of our comedic, dim-witted yet good natured with a heart of gold duo, talked to Yahoo Movies and gave us an update. “[Bill & Ted] will be 40-something and it’s all about Bill and Ted grown up, or not grown up. It’s really ...

STAR WARS EPISODE VII Concept Image Depicts Epic Lightsaber Duel

Sep 26 2014 9:38am CDT | Source: Collider

Another day, another image from Star Wars: Episode VII, but this one just happens to be the best thing I've seen from the movie so far.  It depicts a lightsaber duel under the Millenium Falcon with a Darth Vader-like figure fighting a Rebel with a green lightsaber.  It's epic looking, and for a second I get excited but then I remember the prequels and how flat they were visually (not to mention narratively).  Then I get excited all over again because there's no way this wi ...

Ridley Scott has been speaking about two of the hotly-anticipated sequels he’s currently working on, with updates on both Blade Runner 2 and Prometheus 2. According to Scott, the script for Blade Runner 2 is now complete, and progress now depends on finding time in Harrison Ford’s busy schedule. "It’s on the charts,” says Scott. ‘Blade Runner 2′: Ridley Scott Addresses the Film’s Delay

Sep 25 2014 8:16pm CDT | Source: screen rant

Not all fans of director Ridley Scott’s 1979 sci-fi classic Alien were pleased with the filmmaker’s recent return to that universe with Prometheus in 2012. However, undeterred by the film’s mixed response, Scott is still moving forward with plans for a sequel to that film (without the franchise’s signature creature) as well a follow-up to another of his most revered films, Blade Runner. That 1982 release, of course, starred Harri ...

Sep 25 2014 1:48pm CDT | Source: Collider

Remember last month when some genuine concept art from Star Wars: Episode VII started popping up, revealing the new Stormtroopers and the costume designs for Han Solo?  Well the same source is at it again, as they’ve now revealed a Chrome Trooper image by way of even more concept art.  Thankfully this isn’t incredibly spoilerly, but it’s neat to see how director J.J. Ridley Scott Says BLADE RUNNER 2 Script is Ready to Go; No Xenomorphs in PROMETHEUS 2?

Sep 25 2014 10:54am CDT | Source: Collider

Ridley Scott’s got a lot going on right now, and perhaps too much for those eager to see Blade Runner and Prometheus sequels.  Scott is still gunning to make both, but right now he’s got Exodus: Gods and Kings making its way towards a December 12th debut and he’s busy casting up for his next film, The Martian, too. Scott recently revealed hopes to shoot Blade Runner 2 right after The Martian and it seems as though he could pull it off because apparently the script ...

When it was announced that a new Blade Runner was in the works, fans were outraged that one of their favorite sci-fi films would be getting a follow-up.
