About MC Productions and Sherry Kelly, founder and Producer

MC Productions, an L.A. based independent film production company, is dedicated to producing thoughtful, intelligent, highly entertaining & unique feature films and web series.

While working on the Paramount Pictures studio lot as an Assistant to the Chairman of Viacom Entertainment Group, one of the world’s major entertainment corporations, Sherry was greatly inspired and, as someone with a creative vision, started putting her ideas to paper.

After working with award winning writers Daniel Meersand and Jerry Bonner, Sherry now has 4 feature films and 5 web series in development with more to come.

Daniel Meersand walked away from an award-winning career in television to attend the world-renowned American Film Institute Conservatory. He graduated from AFI in 2008 with a master's degree in screenwriting. After paying his dues in several late night comedy shows, Dan established himself in sports television. This gave him the unique view and perspective in order to produce the amazing pilot script for our web series, King of the Road, a one-hour drama about champion NASCAR driver Casey Edwards’ life on and off the track.

Dan's feature film Removal was released on DVD by Lionsgate in January 2012.

Jerry Bonner, writer of the film, Chatterton, is a Chesterfield Screenwriting Fellow ('98). The Chesterfield Writer’s Film Fund (WFP) is the prestigious fellowship program which encourages new screenwriting talent. The program is sponsored by Paramount Pictures and originated at Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment. It has launched numerous writing careers.

Through the success of the MC Productions Film Fund, Sherry looks forward to bringing these compelling projects to life.
