Paul Walker's Fast and Furious character will retrire

Jan 6 2014, 10:36am CST | by

Paul Walker's character in 'Fast & Furious 7' will retire.

The late actor played undercover police officer Brian O'Connor in the franchise, but hadn't finished shooting the seventh instalment when he died in a nasty car crash on November 30 last year.

However, according to the Hollywood reporter, bosses have decided the star's alter-ego will not be killed off and will instead be written out of the script using existing footage of Walker in a bid to keep fan's satisfied and allow for the franchise to continue.

The future of the movie loomed in the balance last month after production was postponed following the devastating news, but Universal Pictures confirmed a few weeks ago that Walker and his co-star Vin Diesel will ''lead the cast'' of the seventh movie, which was initially set for a July 2014 release date but will now be released on April 10, 2015.

Walker, who starred in five of the six 'Fast & Furious' movies, was killed along with his friend Roger Rodas when the Porsche Carrera GT they were travelling in smashed into a tree and a lamppost and burst into flames in Santa Clarita, California.

A report from the Los Angeles County Coroner released last week states Roger was driving at an ''unsafe speed'' of over 100 miles per hour on the road - which has a designated limit of 45 miles per hour - and lost control of the car ''for unknown reasons''.

However, the report also states neither Roger, 38, nor Walker, 40, had alcohol, cocaine, marijuana or other impairing drugs in their systems.

‘Hitman: Agent 47′: Zachary Quinto Promises a High Stakes Video Game Movie

Jul 26 2014 1:55pm CDT | Source: Screen Rant

Broadway Opening Of "Promises, Promises"
In spite of a solid (albeit interactive) source material and large following of video game players, Xavier Gen’s 2007 Hitman movie starring Timothy Olyphant was poorly received by critics and fans alike. With a $30 million budget, the movie was still able to turn a profit – snagging $99 million in global box office revenue. Yet, word of mouth was mostly underwhelming and a sequel, Hitman 2, languished in develo ...

Fox brought the new Hitman movie, Hitman: Agent 47, to Comic Con today via an understated panel that featured actors Zachary Quinto and Hannah Ware. First look at Rupert Friend in Hitman: Agent 47

Jul 25 2014 1:52am CDT | Source: Total Film

The first pair of images have surfaced online for Hitman: Agent 47, Aleksander Bach’s Hitman sequel, starring Rupert Friend as the titular assassin. Paul Walker had initially been cast to replace Timothy Olyphant, but Homeland star Friend certainly looks the part here, serving up another round of bald-headed badassery. In terms of plot details, things are still pretty sketchy, although early rumours reported an outline in which Friend’s genetically m ...

Guardians of the Galaxy: Not Your Average Marvel Studios Movie

Jul 21 2014 6:30pm CDT | Source: movie pilot

"Guardians Of The Galaxy" - Photocall
Guardians of the Galaxy is a major departure for Marvel movies. The August debut deals with more emotion and much more humor than previous Marvel films, and has only a single thread of continuity—yes, Thanos—tying it back to the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film is directed and co-written by James Gunn, who, for his part, was happy to helm a flick that didn’t take place at the dead center of the MCU.Director James Gunn“Frankly, I found it liberating,” Gunn said. “I would ...

TOP 5: The Best Underrated Matt Dillon Films

Jul 21 2014 4:03pm CDT | Source: movie pilot

Matt Dillon has become one of my favorite actors and it all started with watching The Outsiders for the second time. I was also familiar with his acting via Crash-for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe and an Academy Award-and There’s Something About Mary, but I wanted to learn more about this actor who has flown under the radar the past few years. First I went to Wikipedia and took a look at the actor’s page. I scanned his extensive filmogra ...
