Sam Clafin's on-set mishaps

Nov 16 2013, 10:16am CST | by Bang Movies

Sam Clafin says he shouldn't be hired for the next 'Hunger Games' film after a string of mishaps on set.

The handsome actor almost killed his 'Hunger Games: Catching Fire' co-star and broke a finger, in addition to a number of other disasters while shooting grueling action scenes for the movie in the Hawaiian jungle.

Sam told BANG Showbiz: ''I think me and Jena [Malone] were in constant competition to see who could fall over the most. I also think that the Hawaiian jungle had a real problem with me. I walked into a bush and nearly blinded myself, I broke a finger, and I knocked someone out.''

The 27-year-old actor - who starred opposite Kristen Stewart in 'Snow White and The Huntsman' - explained he also fell into some water while carrying his co-star Lynn Cohen, and ''almost killed'' her.

Sam recalled: ''It was the first the first day I ever had to pick Lynn up and - whoever ever decided to give me the responsibility of another human life made a mistake - I picked her up the first time and walked off onto the spoke on the beach. She was not allowed to go into the water because her blood pressure went so ridiculously high - so after I took my knee into the rock she was clinging on for dear life and she went down with me.''

The clumsy actor then offered a warning to his casting directors, as he joked: ''What I'm trying to say is - never cast me ever again!''

Oct 21 2014 9:50am CDT | Source: Collider

Lionsgate has released a new The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 TV spot, which contains fresh footage from the upcoming blockbuster.  The film finds Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) at the forefront of the rebellion in Panem while Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and Johanna (Jena Malone) are held captive in the Capitol.  We've had some huge hits this year, but I'm still putting my money on The Girl on Fire for winning the 2014 box office race, especially since this looks like the b ...
