Santa Monica, CA, November 10, 2013 --(PR.com)-- RogueFlix, the young-male driven Silicon Beach online network announced the launch of its new Millennial Filmmakers Production Fund at the American Film Market to produce and create content by talented up-and-coming filmmakers targeting the coveted Millennial demographic.

Traditionally, indie filmmakers aspired to work at major Hollywood Studios such as Warner Bros., Universal Studios, Fox Studios, Sony Pictures, MGM, and Disney, but today’s Millennial filmmakers are gravitating towards hot Silicon Beach studios like RogueFlix. Inspired by the strong interest and demand from new media filmmakers, RogueFlix is developing plans for the RogueFlix Creative Campus.

“Young Millennial filmmakers have embraced digital filmmaking and are telling stories that represent their generation which also appeals to broader audiences,” stated Bryan Duran, a co-founder at RogueFlix. “Armed with new technologies that have brought down the costs of digital cameras, special effects, computing power, and distribution, these savvy new filmmakers can do it all. RogueFlix will partner with these new digital filmmakers by offering production funds, marketing, and distribution via its online network and syndication partners.”

“Last year, RogueFlix was very well received at the American Film Market as more and more sales agents and distributors have quickly realized that they need to embrace the digital future of the entertainment industry and are eager to work with us to showcase and monetize their content in the best way possible,” stated Larry Rodriguez, a co-founder at RogueFlix. “Now, RogueFlix is looking to further disrupt the traditional film distribution model by working directly with young Millennial filmmakers and reaching out directly to their fans.”

The Millennium Filmmakers Production Fund is set to produce between 2 and 3 new productions per year to augment the existing content licensing deals RogueFlix has in place. The first film under the fund is in pre-production and more details will be announced by the Cannes Film Market, May 2014.
