Los Angeles, CA, October 14, 2013 –(– 1930’s film, A Cool Dark Place premiers at LA Femme Film Festival October 17th, 2013.

A former showgirl must reconcile her past when an evening at her husband’s nightclub takes an unexpected turn.

The weather is getting cooler and darker and so is this moody 1930’s ensemble period piece- fully equipped with haunting songs pining for lost love.

A Cool Dark Place with its smoky nightclub, brooding femme fatale, and crooked, money racketeering mobsters is reminiscent of films like Casablanca and The Cotton Club but in this you really see it from a woman’s perspective.

Cast: Stephanie Domini, Martin Harvey, and Paul Coughlan with Christine Ostrander and others tell the story of a depression-era crime drama centering around a nightclub and it’s slice of life happenings.
