James Corden is proud of One Chance

Sep 16 2013, 12:17am CDT | by Bang Movies

James Corden says 'One Chance' is a ''positive film''.

The former 'Gavin & Stacey' star plays 'Britain's Got Talent' champion Paul Potts - the opera singer who won the first series of the TV talent show - and he is ''very proud'' of the comedy biopic.

He told The Observer Magazine: ''[It is a] really, really uplifting positive film. I felt very proud of it when I watched it.

''And I feel like we might have made a really tender, uplifting story about a boy who refuses to give up.''

The movie tells the story of the former shop assistant's rise to fame, and James admitted he wasn't immediately sold on the idea.

He added: ''I was a bit, 'What sort of film is this going to be?' You know, is there going to be an actor playing Simon Cowell with a cigar in his mouth?''

In the end, the 35-year-old actor was convinced after a conversation with director David Frankel, who showed a complete dedication and love for the story.

James explained: ''[He] left his kids in Miami to go to Port Talbot to make a film on a budget when he could have been spending $60 million shooting in New York.

''I asked him, 'Why did you want to do it?' And he said, 'Because the end is brilliant. And I know the end is brilliant because even a four-minute YouTube clip of this guy's audition makes people tingle, and 100 million people have watched it'.

''And he said, 'Imagine seeing that when you know everything this guy wet through. The absolute struggle it took to get there.' ''

Featurette Finally Shows the Musical Side of Disney's 'Into the Woods'

Oct 23 2014 12:52pm CDT | Source: First Showing

Following yesterday's laughable reveal of Johnny Depp as The Wolf in Disney's adaptation of the Broadway musical Into the Woods, a new featurette has popped up that finally shows the melody side of the film that wasn't present in the first teaser trailer. The featurette lays out the story a little clearer as an ensemble of characters are all wishing for something, and Meryl Streep's elderly witch tells them to go into the woods to have their ...

Anna Kendrick, Chris Pine and Johnny Depp star in new Into The Woods images

Oct 23 2014 1:19am CDT | Source: Total Film

A new batch of images have arrived online from Disney’s Into The Woods, giving us a good look at the A-list cast in all its fairytale glory. First of all, there’s Anna Kendrick looking resplendent as Cinderella, while Chris Pine cuts a dash as a horse-riding Prince Charming. Then there’s Johnny Depp’s Big Bad Wolf, who appears to be sporting a very sober outfit, as opposed to any sort of elaborate costume or CGI trickery. Not that Depp isn’t convinced he will be a visually arresting char ...

New INTO THE WOODS Images Feature Johnny Depp’s Big Bad Wolf, Anna Kendrick’s Cinderella, and More

Oct 22 2014 5:47pm CDT | Source: Collider

Earlier this morning, we got our first look at Johnny Depp’s Big Bad Wolf from director Rob Marshall’s (Chicago) upcoming musical adaptation Into the Woods.  It’s an interesting look to say the least, and while I figured the reason Depp was left out of the trailer was because his character would be CG-aided, it turns out he’s actually just wearing what looks like a relatively cheap Halloween costume.  Indeed, Depp tells EW Marshall let him put his own spin on the character: “Rob Marshall wasn ...
