Mad Max: Fury Road needs re-shoots

Sep 4 2013, 4:10am CDT | by Bang Movies

'Mad Max: Fury Road' requires a series of re-shoots.

Filming wrapped on the post-apocalyptic action movie last December after six months of shooting but director George Miller has told the cast they need to re-assemble in Australia in November for three weeks of additional shooting.

Among the stars who must return include Tom Hardy - who is taking over the titular role from Mel Gibson, who appeared in the three previous 'Mad Max' movies - Nicholas Hoult and Charlize Theron.

News of the additional shots has sparked rumours the production has experienced more difficulties. It already got off to a bad start when filming was delayed for two years, only beginning in 2012.

Hardy plays road warrior Max Rockatansky, Theron portrays war rig operator Imperator Furiosa, Hoult is Nux, while the gang The Wives are played by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Zoe Kravitz, Riley Keogh, Abbey Lee Kershaw and Courtney Eaton.

Gibson will have a cameo in the film.

Theron previously admitted she was desperate to star in the project because she loved the first film - which attracted criticism after its release in 1979 over its graphic scenes of violence - and the sequels so much.

She said: ''I feel like the original 'Mad Max' created such a vivid world, that to go back and re-imagine it and kind of replay in that sandbox sounds like fun to me.

''George really created a great female character that I'd never read before.''

'Mad Max: Fury Road' is scheduled for a release by Warner Bros. in the summer of 2014.

Review: The Expendables 3

Aug 15 2014 7:09pm CDT | Source: Dark Horizons

As with a number of third installments, the law of diminishing returns kicks in with The Expendables III - big time. The franchise has always centered on the novelty value of having the aging action stars of the '80s and '90s appear onscreen together - often for the first time - in order to shoot, kick, stab, and blast the living hell out of some third world bad guys. With little else to incite interest, the formula is officially stale. Sylv ...

Expendables Wanted: How to Hire an Actual Mercenary

Aug 15 2014 11:02am CDT | Source: yahoo

The Expendables 3 finds Sylvester Stallone and his fellow action stars emeriti once again deputized by the CIA to perform some off-the-books black ops, this time in Somalia, to nab a former Expendable gone bad (Mel Gibson). “Normally it can be done,” says Soldier of Fortune editor Lt. The Expendables 3 Review: Mel Gibson Steals the Show

Aug 15 2014 8:30am CDT | Source: movie fanatic

There is a lot less humor in The Expendables 3 than there was in previous installments. Don’t get me wrong, there are still plenty of chuckles to be had from this series that doesn't take itself too seriously… but this is a story of vengeance and paying for one’s past in the present. The headline in The Expendables 3 arrives on several fronts. Bruce Willis didn’t return, but franchise creator Sylvester Stallone more than made up for it by adding ...

‘The Expendables 3′ Review

Aug 15 2014 7:30am CDT | Source: Screen Rant

The Expendables 3 offers its share of old-school action thrills and fun, yet it has the same problems as its predecessors – and then some. The Expendables 3 picks up with Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone) and his loyal roughnecks as they rescue an old crew member (Wesley Snipes), to assist the under-staffed Expendables team on what otherwise seems to be a routine mission. However, when their latest ...

Sylvester Stallone, Mel Gibson, Wesley Snipes, Jason Statham, Kelsey Grammer, Ronda Rousey, Patrick Hughes, and More Talk THE EXPENDABLES 3

Aug 14 2014 3:58pm CDT | Source: Collider

Let me be very clear: press conferences for a film with the entire cast on hand are usually a waste of time.  All too often, the biggest star gets most of the questions and because it's a press conference with numerous reporters asking questions, it's hard to get into a rhythm with the talent.  But every once in awhile you get lucky, and that was the case the other day with The Expendables 3 cast and director Patrick H ...
