Mad Max: Fury Road needs re-shoots

Sep 4 2013, 4:10am CDT | by Bang Movies

'Mad Max: Fury Road' requires a series of re-shoots.

Filming wrapped on the post-apocalyptic action movie last December after six months of shooting but director George Miller has told the cast they need to re-assemble in Australia in November for three weeks of additional shooting.

Among the stars who must return include Tom Hardy - who is taking over the titular role from Mel Gibson, who appeared in the three previous 'Mad Max' movies - Nicholas Hoult and Charlize Theron.

News of the additional shots has sparked rumours the production has experienced more difficulties. It already got off to a bad start when filming was delayed for two years, only beginning in 2012.

Hardy plays road warrior Max Rockatansky, Theron portrays war rig operator Imperator Furiosa, Hoult is Nux, while the gang The Wives are played by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Zoe Kravitz, Riley Keogh, Abbey Lee Kershaw and Courtney Eaton.

Gibson will have a cameo in the film.

Theron previously admitted she was desperate to star in the project because she loved the first film - which attracted criticism after its release in 1979 over its graphic scenes of violence - and the sequels so much.

She said: ''I feel like the original 'Mad Max' created such a vivid world, that to go back and re-imagine it and kind of replay in that sandbox sounds like fun to me.

''George really created a great female character that I'd never read before.''

'Mad Max: Fury Road' is scheduled for a release by Warner Bros. in the summer of 2014.

Mel Gibson At The 49th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival
George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road is part reboot, part continuation of the post-apocalyptic sci-fi/action franchise that the filmmaker started in the late 1970s (with Mel Gibson playing Max “The Road Warrior” Rockatansky), and hasn’t released a new installment for in thirty years, come 2015. It wasn’t all clear skies once Fury Road finally began shooting either, but after a longer-than-expected production the film is now well along into post-production – enough so for War ...

The Passion of the Torture Porn

Jul 11 2014 5:21am CDT | Source: movie pilot

Premiere Of Magnolia Pictures' "Life Itself" - Red Carpet
Throughout time, movie buffs have been subjected to good and bad films. True fans of cinema, like me, will sit through nearly any movie. But, times have made it harder to do so. Some sub-genres are hardly recognizable anymore, like horror, and the so-called torture porn flicks that became mainstream in the mid 2000's. By definition, torture porn is sadomasochism. The torture part is obvious, but the porn part comes from a few th ...

Barneys New York Hosts A Private Dinner In Honor Of Fausto Puglisi Of Emanuel Ungaro
Things that make you go KABOOOM!The Expendables 3 isn’t one of those sequel titles to go with the whole colon-plus-superlative formula that’s currently in vogue. But if Sly and co. had decided to keep up with the Mission: Impossibles and Hobbits of the world, we’d hazard the result would be something like “The Expendables: Kaboom Of Doom” – at least judging by this new TV spot that's unleashed on the world right ...
