Matt Damon baffled by sex scenes

Aug 26 2013, 4:13am CDT | by Bang Movies

Matt Damon was baffled by the prospect of filming a sex scene with Michael Douglas.

The 42-year-old actor couldn't work out how he was going to convincingly pretend to make love to his co-star in 'Behind the Candelabra' because he had never seen an X-rated scene involving two men.

He joked: ''Michael Douglas and I were really curious about how [director] Steven Soderbergh was going to film the sex scenes. In the script, it just said, 'Scott makes love to Lee'.

''We asked him, 'Thanks for the note, but how do we actually do that?' Eventually, Steven put a camera under the bed, so you only see us partially and it never looks pornographic.''

The star wasn't nervous about showing off his derriere to play Liberace's lover Scott Thorson in the movie, and was pleased to have matched Michael's infamous bottom-baring scene in 'Basic Instinct'.

Asked what it was like to hop into bed with Michael, Matt laughed: ''I finally know what Sharon Stone ('Basic Instinct') and Glenn Close ('Fatal Attraction') felt. Everyone remembers seeing Michael's ass in 'Basic Instinct'...

''This time, you see mine, it's a bit blurry but in prime position in the middle of the screen, with a Brazilian tan line... It's that level of detail that makes your career!''

The 'Elysium' hunk says the most difficult part of shooting the film - aside from the outlandish costumes and wigs - was watching the 68-year-old veteran actor shoot flamboyant pianist Liberace's losing battle with AIDS, since Michael had suffered from life-threatening throat cancer himself.

Matt told Madame Figaro magazine: ''The reason he pulled it off so amazingly is because he'd acquired the wisdom, depth and distance of someone who has known illness and beaten it.''

Comic-Con Bombshell: WB Wants ‘Batman V Superman’ Scribe Chris Terrio For ‘Justice League’

Jul 25 2014 4:58pm CDT | Source: Deadline

Warner Bros hosts its Comic-Con panel tomorrow morning where Batman V Superman is expected to be front and center, but here’s a morsel to nibble on today. I’m hearing that after he absolutely crushed the script on that film, Oscar-winning Argo scribe Chris Terrio is being courted by the studio to come aboard and script its Justice League movie. That super hero mash-up will be DC Comics answer to Marvel’s Avengers juggernaut. Not that w ...

First Poster Of Neill Blomkamp's Chappie

Jul 24 2014 12:34pm CDT | Source: Empire Online

South African graffiti For Neill Blomkamp’s next slice of sci-fi freshness, Chappie, he’s tapping into a more comic vein that was evident in either District 9 and Elysium. Both of those have wit and laughs, but at the end of the day there’s only so much levity to be mined from the sight of Matt Damon being drilled into an exosuit. The film has a new poster timed with Comic-Con and it’s a bit of a doozy. {Chappie Poster}The director rolled cameras in Johannesburg ...

Universal Pictures Pushes Back 'The Bourne Legacy' Sequel to 2016

Jun 18 2014 1:44pm CDT | Source: First Showing

Briefly: Late last year, Universal Pictures set the release of The Bourne Legacy sequel for August 14th, 2015. However, six months later, the studio has decided to change things up by pushing back the film to July 15th, 2016. Fast & Furious franchise director Justin Lin is still at the helm, and Jeremy Renner will return as Aaron Cross. The studio refers to the project as Untitled Next Bourne Chapter, which may be a hint that this won't just be a sequel to The Bourne Legacy. After al ...
