The 31-year-old actress claims it's ''crazy'' her 'Zero Dark Thirty' director Kathryn Bigelow failed to receive a nomination for the 2013 Academy Awards' prestigious Best Director category, and although she is looking forward to the ceremony this weekend (24.02.13), she feels terrible she might pick up the Best Actress gong while Kathryn goes unrecognised.
Jessica told Digital Spy: ''We made this movie in multiple locations with over 100 actors, a massive crew, sometimes we were filming under very intense, very difficult circumstances and she never broke a sweat.
''She is a captain in every sense of the word. She is a great filmmaker, and it was a bittersweet moment to receive my Oscar nomination because to hear that she wasn't nominated was like a dart in my heart.
The sentiment was echoed by the CIA thriller's producer Megan Ellison last month when she took to Twitter in an angry rant to defend the film, which recounts the decade-long manhunt for Osama Bin Laden.
She posted: ''Kathryn Bigelow was robbed. So f****d up.#recount''.
'Zero Dark Thirty' is up for a total of five awards including Best Picture, but Kathyrn - who became the first female to win the Best Director statue for 'The Hurt Locker' in 2011 - lost out to Michael Haneke, Ang Lee, Steven Spielberg, David O. Russell and Benh Zeitlin in the category this year.
The contenders will battle it out for the win at the ceremony on February 24.
