Terence Stamp is eyeing up a role in 'Anchorman: The Legend Continues'.
The 'Song For Marion' actor let slip that he had been contacted by ''Will Ferrell's people'' about playing a ''Rupert Murdoch-type figure'' in the funnyman's next venture, which begins shooting in March.
The 74-year-old veteran actor would join an all-star line up in the sequel alongside original cast members from 2004's 'Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy', including Will Ferrell, Steve Carrell and Paul Rudd.
Kristen Wiig has been confirmed to play the female lead.
Producer Judd Apatow recently revealed the script - penned by Will and director Adam McKay - was hysterically funny, but has vowed to keep details of the plot under wraps for as long as possible.
He said: ''We read it a few weeks ago and people were laughing so hard that at about 40 minutes in we all just ran out of gas. It was hard to read the whole thing because we got tired [from laughing].
''I can't give it away because it's more secret than the next 'Star Wars.'
