Sylvester Stallone's vein tattoo

Feb 3 2013, 10:19am CST | by

Sylvester Stallone got a tattoo of his wife to cover a burst vein.

The actor sports huge tattoos across his back and shoulders in his new film 'Bullet to the Head', and they are real rather than painted on for the role, inked because he had an unsightly vein.

He said: ''The tattoos are real - unfortunately. I have all kinds of chest injuries; I tore my vein during 'Rocky II' and had 60 stitches. If you've seen 'Rocky Balboa', you'll know how bad they look. It got worse and worse, and people were saying, 'Urgh, has he got varicose veins?' So I thought, 'f**k it', and covered them with a tattoo of my wife.

''Then the tattoo started to grow and it went to a skull and before I knew it, I was a mural.''

Sylvester, 66, is still lining up action roles and sustaining injuries, with his latest affliction on his calf sustained while filming 'The Tomb' with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

He told Shortlist magazine: ''I just got this one - 70 new stitches. This is from 'The Tomb' with Schwarzenegger. It's a little memento. I've had both shoulders done, my neck done, two back operations, achilles tendon and now this thing - the peroneal tendon - just ruptured. This is the worst f*cking one ever. I feel like an old athlete. Every time you touch something, it breaks.''

Rambo 5's Rumored New Title

Sep 10 2014 5:28pm CDT | Source: ign

Sylvester Stallone intends on making Rambo 5, which rumor has it will take its name from a game. ComingSoon claims that the fifth film is titled Rambo: Last Blood, which is not only a play on the original movie's title First Blood, but was also the name of an online flash game developed by Peter Javidpour (The Last of Us). If this title rumor is true then we're pretty doubtful the movie will also follow the plot of the game, which saw Rambo killed by a bus and ...
