Bradley Cooper on for new crime thriller

Jan 30 2013, 10:10am CST | by

Bradley Cooper is being lined up to star in crime thriller 'The Man From Primrose Lane'.

The 'Silver Linings Playbook' actor will play the lead in an adaptation of James Remner's murder mystery novel of the same name, which Warner Bros. studios have bought the rights to so Bradley can star and produce.

The Hollywood hunk would take on the role of crime writer David Neff, who investigates the murder of a recluse nicknamed ''the man with a thousand mittens''.

Events soon turn spooky after David discovers he is connected to a chain of serial murders and uncovers the reason behind his own obsession.

Deadline reports 'Langley Park's Kevin McCormick will produce alongside Bradley and Chad Feehan has begun work on the screenplay.

Fresh from his Oscar nomination, in-demand actor Bradley is due to team up with his 'Silver Linings' director David O. Russell on his next project and can next be seen in 'The Hangover III', 'The Place Beyond The Pines' and 'Serena' .

The actor recently denied claims he was negotiating a role as Lance Armstrong in J.J. Abrams' biopic about the shamed cyclist.

He insisted: ''No... Oh my God, that's so nuts... I didn't even know that J.J. has the rights, I had no idea.''
