Marvel hints at Iron Man 4

Jan 22 2013, 2:20am CST | by

Marvel Studios' President of Production Kevin Feige has hinted there will be an 'Iron Man 4'.

While the producer extraordinaire admits nothing is yet confirmed about a follow up to 'Iron Man 3', he insists there are ''more tales to tell'' about the titular character/Tony Stark - who is portrayed by Robert Downey. Jr - which could even see a fifth instalment of the superhero franchise.

He said: ''Characters like James Bond and Batman, whose stories go on and on and on -- I think Tony is one of those characters. Where we go directly after 'Iron Man 3' ... I'm not looking too far ahead. I'm looking to finish 'Iron Man 3,' getting into 'Avengers 2,' and then seeing where we go from there. But I do think we have more Tony Stark tales to tell, and we'll take it one movie -- or maybe two movies -- at a time.''

Kevin revealed 'Iron Man 3' - a follow up to 2010's 'Iron Man' sequel - will be like ''post-traumatic stress'' for Stark following on from his hectic all-action adventures in last year's 'Avengers Assemble', and he admits Downey Jr. ''gave his all'' in his latest portrayal of the action hero.

He added to MTV: ''Robert Downey Jr. gave his all to this performance. He left no stone unturned.

''So much of the journey of 'Iron Man 3' is informed by Tony's experiences in 'The Avengers. It's almost like post-traumatic stress: he really has retreated after the events of 'The Avengers' into his workshop, where he's building advanced versions of his suits.

''He has [designed] a version of the suit that can latch onto him in individual pieces ... anytime, anywhere. As he starts to realize, it's basically because he doesn't want to be out of the suit: he's seen a lot of things in 'Avengers' and has encountered a lot of powerful people, much more powerful than he is.''

'Iron Man 3' is scheduled for release on April 26, 2013 in the UK and May 3, 2013, in the US.

‘The Judge’ Trailer Starring Robert Downey Jr. and Robert Duvall

Sep 17 2014 12:30pm CDT | Source: Slash Film

There’s nothing quite like a death in the family to bring the living members of the family back together. Or at least that seems to be a running theme at the movies this year, between Are You Here, This Is Where I Leave You, and now the new The Judge trailer. Robert Downey Jr. leads the drama as hotshot attorney Hank Palmer, who returns to his childhood home after the death of his mother. When he gets home, he discovers that his estranged father (Robert Duvall), an esteemed judge, has be ...

Warner Bros. has released a new The Judge trailer for director David Dobkin’s upcoming drama, and it goes rather heavy on the sentimentality.  Robert Downey Jr. plays an attorney who returns home for his mother’s funeral only to learn that his estranged father (Robert Duvall), a judge who suffers from Alzheimer’s, has been accused of murder.  Reviews out of the film’s TIFF premiere weren’t great and this trailer lays on the schmaltz p ...

Sep 17 2014 11:17am CDT | Source: First Showing

"You're just a boy from Indiana who's gonna do whatever he has to do to pretend that's not true." Following mixed reviews out of TIFF earlier this month, the family drama from Wedding Crashers director David Dobkin likely won't have any problems pulling in the older demographic when it hits theaters next month. Even the younger folks who know Robert Downey Jr. from Iron Man might check this one out, no matter how melodramatic it may se ...
