Liam Neeson is to star as a hit man in new movie 'Run All Night'.

The 60-year-old actor is to portray a mob killer for hire in the action film which is being produced by Warner Bros.

Liam's character will have to take on his boss' entire organisation in one night and then has to go on the run from the Mafia and the police to protect his family and his estranged son.

The movie has been written by Brad Ingelsby - whose previous work includes 'Out of the Furnace' and 'Die Bad' -

Jaume Collet-Serra - who worked with Neeson on 'Unknown' and is currently shooting him for air marshal thriller 'Non-Stop' - is set to direct.

Shooting on the project is due to start in the autumn.

Liam recently signed up to star in the Lego film along with Will Ferrell.

The 'Taken' star have signed on to voice a character in Phil Lord and Chris Miller's 3D animation movie - a cartoon adaptation of the popular children's toy - which is entitled 'Lego: The Piece Of Resistance'.

'Mad Men' actress Alison Brie and Nick Offerman are also set to be involved in the project, joining Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks and Morgan Freeman who signed up in August.

The Lego film is due for a February 2014 release.

Sep 26 2014 10:00am CDT | Source: movie fanatic

Denzel Washington and the character of Robert McCall are a match made in heaven. The Equalizer is, in fact, who he becomes over the course of Antoine Fuqua’s tense, powerful and thrilling film. It is the audience’s utter joy and a gift to witness Washington take McCall on a journey of self discovery that is richly painted and electrifyingly executed. The ensemble dramedy This Is Where I Leave You debuted in third place with $11.8 million and should easily recoup the $20 million it cost to mak ...

Sep 21 2014 11:16am CDT | Source: Collider

Among this weekend’s three new releases only Fox’s The Maze Runner showed strength.  The sci-fi thriller brought in an estimated $32.5 million from 3,064 locations for the sixth-biggest September debut of all time.  Way back in second place with $13.1 million from 2,712 locations, A Walk Among the Tombstones suggests that audiences may be tiring of Liam Neeson and his now-familiar tough guy roles.  Finally, despite an ensemble cast t ...

Friday Box Office: THE MAZE RUNNER Sprints Past A WALK AMONG THE TOMBSTONES on Opening Day

Sep 20 2014 11:00am CDT | Source: Collider

The Maze Runner, a big screen version of James Dashner’s 2007 novel,  will not be the latest YA adaptation to go down in box office flames.  Bucking the trend that saw page-to-screen conversions like Vampire Academy and The Giver open to disappointing numbers, The Maze Runner looks like it may actually exceed expectations.  The Fox release was originally projected to open to $27 million but, after earning a strong $ ...

How Did I Miss This? Did Captain America 2 Really Feature a Cameo from The Punisher?

Sep 15 2014 8:34am CDT | Source: movie pilot

Note, mild Captain America: The Winter Soldier SPOILERS below:When it comes to Marvel heroes, they don't come much darker than The Punisher. The man known to his (few) friends as Frank Castle has put the anti- so firmly into anti-hero that it's practically sticking out the other side. After all, his mission is to punish (read: kill) pretty much any criminal he sees. When it comes to the vagu ...
