Samuel L. Jackson wants Star Wars return

Jan 16 2013, 10:12am CST | by

Samuel L. Jackson would love to star in the new 'Star Wars' film.

The actor - who played Jedi Mace Windu in the second trilogy in the franchise between 1999 and 2005 - would love to reprise his role in the recently announced seventh installment of the space saga, despite his character seemingly meeting his maker in 2005's 'Revenge of the Sith' after losing a hand and falling out of a window.

He said: ''Yeah, I'd love to be part of that.

''I don't know why I'd have to be a ghost. I'm a Jedi! I fell out of a window and they took my hand off. I could show up as a one-handed Jedi - alive!''

The 64-year-old 'Django Unchained' star feels the presence of his character and other established characters could lure audiences to see the next film, rather than have a completely new cast.

He explained to The Independent newspaper: ''I think it'd help people come back to the franchise, to have some familiar characters before they start introducing all the new ones.''

'Star Wars 7' is tentatively scheduled for release in 2015.

13 Things You Didn't Know About 'Pulp Fiction'

Sep 19 2014 5:33pm CDT | Source: yahoo

As far as the '90s go, no movie had quite the impact on both audiences and critics as Quentin Tarantino's 'Pulp Fiction.' An anthology of three films in one, with little regard for chronology, 'Pulp' tells the story of two hitmen, a boxer, and one disgusting car clean-up in a way that seamlessly blends characters, time, and plotlines. The film made stars out of Samuel L. Jackson and Uma Thurman, put John T ...

BIG GAME Review | TIFF 2014

Sep 12 2014 2:50pm CDT | Source: Collider

A good thirty minutes into Jalmari Helander’s Big Game, a thought arises that never ceases to fade: “Shouldn’t I be having more fun considering the goofy premise?”  It’s a kid in the wilderness who’s forced to protect the President of the United States.  Then you cast Samuel L. Jackson—a man whose ubiquity and longevity in spite of some seriously questionable choice in projects is a testament to his enduring p ...

Big Game Review

Sep 11 2014 4:44pm CDT | Source: ign

This review is part of IGN's cover of the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival. The only reason we know Big Game wasn't dug up from a 30-year-old time capsule are the appearances by Samuel L. Jackson and Ray Stevenson in their ass-kicking prime. A man-vs-nature-vs-terrorists action jaunt, director Jalmari Helander's follow-up to the “Evil Santa” horror film Rare Exports grafts Steven Spielberg's Amblin charm to a '80s shoot-em-up. It's Die ...
